about
This song was written way back in 2004. It was a demo that I had recorded but had not played the tune in a long time. A few years back I stumbled onto the song backed up on my hard drive. Hearing it again I knew it needed to be heard so I ended up bringing it to the band and now it has new life. At its core "Resist Her" is a heavy love song about a relationship gone bad from fear. This was based on an experience from my past. It's when two people get together but don't really reveal themselves to each other fully. It's when you’re afraid to go all in for fear of getting hurt. When it's all over you are left with the feeling “could it have been more?” Having learned a lot since this time I can say that I am not that same person I was back then. But I see the same things happening in today's world even more so. This can apply to any type of relationship. What I have learned is its okay to be vulnerable. Put everything on the line! Be real and show the world who you really are! Don't be afraid to love deeply! What is this world without love?
